About: A visitor-focused, publicly available mobile application for Golden Gate National Recreation Area featuring a fully customized interactive park map, detailed interpretive content, and accessibility for the visually impaired. Developed by my team at the National Park Service – NPMap – in partnership with Harpers Ferry Center and park staff.
Cartographic design is intended to embody the NPS graphic identity, powered solely by NPS data inside park boundaries and OpenStreetMap outside. The app is map-centric, with all content rooted in point of interest "sites" marking park attractions, historic sites, and visitor services.
Screenshots below are of the app's "Map" tab as of v1.13.1 with an iPhone 6.
